7No Home Button
Apple unveiled their new iPhone X, with a big surprise: no home button. Now with an edge-to-edge display, the iPhone has no place for it’s normal home button. The iPhone X is now using a facial recognition system called Face ID to unlock the phone. You can also raise to wake the iPhone X, or tap the display. And to go back to the Home screen, you just swipe up from the bottom.
6A Faster Custom “A11 Bionic” Processor Chip
Now powered by an A11 Bionic chip the iPhone X has a six-core CPU design. Apple claims is the smartest and most powerful ever seen in a smartphone.
5“Animoji” Animated Emoji
The iPhone X camera analyzes more than 50 different muscle movements using the front-facing camera to mirror your expressions in 12 Animoji. It’s built into Apple Messages, iMessage texting app, and emojis including a robot, panda and cat are capable of becoming Animoji.
4Wireless Inductive Charging
With no charging cable required, iPhone X allows you to charge with wireless charging stations and mats anywhere around the world. Available in 2018 you can purchase the “AirPower mat”. Just set your iPhone, anywhere on the mat to charge wirelessly.
3Rear Dual-lens Camera System
On the rear of the iPhone X uses a dual-lens set-up, with both lenses being 12Mp and both offer optical image stabilisation. One has an aperture of f/1.8, and the other f/2.4. It’s paired with a new quad LED True Tone Flash with Slow Sync, which offers a more natural light.
2An Edge-to-Edge OLED “Super Retina” Display
The iPhone X has an awesome new design with a super-high-resolution screen with an OLED (Organic LED) display that Apple’s calling “Super Retina,” with 458 pixels-per-inch. This screen takes up nearly the entire face of the device, except for a slender cutaway area for the front-facing camera and other sensors. The OLED screen that rises to the standards of iPhone, with high brightness, a 1,000,000 to 1 contrast ratio, and stunning colours.
1Facial Recognition Unlocking
iPhone X owners can now unlock their phone simply by looking at it. Thanks to an array of new sensors and technology powering it’s facial recognition system that Apple calls “Face ID.” Apple says that facial recognition software is much easier and safer, with under a one in a million chance of someone being able to access your phone. These are much safer odds than it’s fingerprint software which is about 1 in 50,000 chances of someone being able to access it.
